About the firm
A firm since 2017.
Engineers with more history.
RoushTech, LLC is a custom software and infrastructure firm based in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. We design, build, and keep running systems that have to hold up under real production load: healthcare, e-commerce, manufacturing, SaaS, and the other regulated, operational worlds where software failing quietly costs real money.
The founder
Where this started.
Short version of a longer story.
I started writing software professionally in 2003, at 16. The years between then and incorporating went into running industry SDLC standards against real production work, watching where they broke, and rebuilding the parts that kept failing. What emerged, from branching to releases to code review, is what RoushTech still runs on. I founded the LLC in June 2017 to put a business structure around work and relationships that already existed.
The principle has not changed: find the best engineers and work with them. Some had already cleared that bar before the firm existed. Others have joined since and cleared it here.
How we hire
Find the best. Work with them.
We don't hire by zip code, and we don't staff projects with whoever happened to be available.
A core cluster of the team sits around Chattanooga. Most of the rest are spread across the United States. A small number of international engineers round out the team, held to the same standard as everyone else and useful when a client needs around-the-clock coverage.
The bench is principal-heavy. We do bring on and develop junior engineers, but they ship alongside people who have already done this in production, not in place of them. Your project leads have shipped systems like yours before.
How we work
Senior from pitch to production.
The same people through the whole engagement, accountable past launch.
The senior engineers who scope your project are the senior engineers who build it. No bait, no handoff to a less experienced team the moment a contract closes.
Software that ships on day one rarely works without care on day 365. We prefer long-term partnerships and most of our engagements go that way. But they aren't required. We've handed projects off successfully when that's what the client needed.
Services and products
Services is the core. Products are the proof.
Shipping our own products is how you know the bench can actually build yours.
Services is the main business. Most of the bench, most of the work, and most of the revenue come from custom software and consulting for clients. When you hire RoushTech, that is what you are hiring.
The goal isn't to grow into a bigger services firm. It is to keep building more products of our own with the same bench. That's what genuinely good firms do.
We ship our own: Raptify, Procyon, Sorex, with more coming. The same bench ships both.
None of that shifts what an engagement looks like. If a RoushTech product hits commercial stride, the bench on your work stays on your work.
